Football Frustration

This weekend was an off week for my Oklahoma Sooners, so I go on the basis that they spent the week learning more of the offense, and getting Peterson and others a little bit more healthy before facing off with Texas A&M.

My Oakland Raiders were another story...a questionable 'tripping' penalty cost them the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Well to be fair, the penalty itself may not have cost them, however it stopped the clock and allowed Kansas City to run the play that got them down to the 1 yard line with 5 seconds left to punch in the winning score. However, it'd be a moot point if anyone on the defense had tackled Larry Johnson at any point further upfield, they would have forced a field goal attempt to tie the game at best. Anyhow, this team is better than it's record, it's just a shame they don't play in one of those weaker divisions in football instead of the AFC West.

My high school Radford had this week off in the Hawaii High School Football playoffs, they face off against our very hated arch-rivals Moanalua on the 11th. This is the best team we've had that I can remember since my freshman year of high school where we lost in the OIA Finals to Waianae for the right to face St. Louis Acadamy (who cheated along with the rest of the ILH schools).

Anyhow, this weekend in Michigan has sucked...it's been blustery and cold with the winds averaging about 30 mph for the last two days. They've helped the pain quotient increase and my medication is becoming less effective in dealing with it. I'm to a point where I'm going to need medical insurance badly soon if for no other reason than to get my knee checked out, and see how we can deal with the other matters.
